European swimming championship medalist Anna Egorova posted a photo in her swimsuit from a holiday in Italy on her Instagram stories (the owner of the company Meta is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia).
In the photo, the 25-year-old athlete poses kneeling in the water on the beach.
On August 29, Egorova announced that it was time to return to training after her vacation. She also expressed her hope that she will be able to participate in the Olympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024.
At the European Championships in Budapest in May 2021, Egorova won a bronze medal in the 4×200 meter freestyle as part of the mixed relay team. She also won the bronze medal in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 8:26.56. Anna won the silver medal in the 400 meter freestyle.
The Olympics in the French capital will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
The International Swimming Federation (FINA) banned Russian and Belarusian swimmers from competing under its auspices, even under a neutral flag, in March 2022.
