  • The Merengues Backup Plan
  • He has scored twice for City this season

WHAT HAPPENED? It is expected that the Merengyes will finally be able to sign Mbappé next season when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires. While the Frenchman remains Real Madrid’s priority, the club has also picked up a number of backup options, including Macnehser City striker Julián Álvarez.

THE BIG PICTURE: The 23-year-old has started every match the club has played so far. In four Premier League appearances, Álvarez scored two goals and provided one assist.
