Julian Nagelsmann, former head coach of RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich, may be the new head coach of the German national team. This was reported by Bayern and Germany.
According to the source, the German Football Federation (DFB) management sees the 36-year-old specialist as the most suitable candidate to replace Hans-Dieter Flick, who served in the national team from 2021 to 2023.
It became known on 10 September that Flick had been dismissed as coach of the German national team. Under his leadership, the Germans performed unsuccessfully at the World Championships in Qatar and did not pass the group stage of the tournament.
Rudi Keller will serve as head coach in the friendly match against France.
The match between Germany and France will be played on September 12 at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park stadium and will start at 22:00 Moscow time.
