For this reason, we at Goal have decided to take a look at Spain’s highest results in all competitions throughout history, with the 10-0 against Liechtenstein (2017) being the last to enter the list. We find friendly matches, European Championship or World Cup qualifiers and even Confederations Cup matches.
La Roja’s biggest victory in the final stages of a World Cup was the 6-1 against Stoichkov’s Bulgaria in the 1998 edition in France, but that was surpassed in Qatar 2022 by the victory of Luis Enrique Martínez’s team over Costa Rica : 7-0. However, that victory is not among the biggest victories in La Roja history overall.
