Former head coach of Orenburg football club Jiri Jarosik in an interview “Sport Express” He answered a question about the pressure exerted by the Czech Republic on his work in Russia.
“I knew I wouldn’t go to Russia at a good time. I took this responsibility upon myself. As soon as I arrived, I closed my Instagram page (the owner of the company Meta is known as an extremist in Russia and was banned). I didn’t read anything, so I didn’t feel any pressure.
I can say that there are many kind people in Russia. They constantly helped and supported me. Nobody was ever rude. On the contrary, everyone was friendly. I thank the people who welcomed me warmly. From now on, I will tell everyone in the Czech Republic not to believe this news,” Jarosik said.
Jarosik took charge of Orenburg in the summer after Marcel Licka left for Dinamo Moscow. Under his leadership, the team played a total of seven matches and won only one, beating Sochi in the Russian Cup. On 21 August, Yarosik announced his departure from the club.
The Orenburg team currently sits 14th in the Russian Premier League (RPL) standings with five points. The team will play away against Lokomotiv Moscow in their next match (September 17).
