The star of La Masia, who inherited the “10” from Barça and raised many expectations, will eventually go to a second-tier club in the Premier League.
Ansu Fati would become the next big step in the football world. A La Masia product that loved to attack from the wing, take on defenders and shoot at goal with deadly precision. He was pretty much the closest player Barcelona had produced to Lionel Messi in years.
For twelve glorious months, Ansu looked ready to take over from Messi. He made his debut in September 2019 and made La Liga fall in love for almost a year. He broke countless records, scored goals at a better pace than Messi earlier in his career, and perhaps most importantly, he played some fun football.

Four years after his debut, Fati is about to be loaned to the English Brighton.
But how could it all go so wrong? GOAL takes a look at Fati’s career and how a player once regarded as one of the best in the world is now looking to rebuild his career outside Can Barça…
