The Russian Premier League (RPL) ranks first among national championships in terms of penalties awarded. This has been reported Smart Tables.
In the Russian Championship, an average of 0.52 penalty kicks is awarded per game. It is stated that the number of penalties in the RPL has increased from year to year: in the 2017/18 season, only 0.27 penalties were given per game. It is also stated that on average in the RPL, penalties are awarded more for the home team – 0.35 times per game, and for the guests – 0.17 times.
In the Spanish championship, an average of 0.4 penalties per game is predicted; 0.36 in Bulgaria, 0.33 in Serbia, 0.31 in Portugal, 0.3 in Italy, 0.23 in Hungary, 0.17 in Montenegro.
