Bukayo Saka has been named PFA Young Player of the Year in recognition of his role in Arsenal’s unexpected title fight.
Saka overcame competition from Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland and midfielder Moisés Caicedo to claim the prestigious award. He accepted the trophy in person at the Lowry Theater in Manchester. The winger inspired Arsenal to their best season in nearly two decades, with the Gunners leading the Premier League title challenge for most of the season until Manchester City overtook them in May. Saka scored 14 goals and contributed eight assists for Mikel Arteta’s team.
