Orenburg’s Spanish coach says if he is under pressure from his job in Russia

David Deogracia, head coach of the Orenburg football club, answered the question whether he was under pressure from Spain for his work in the Russian Premier League (RPL). His words convey “Match TV”.

“How did Spain react to my appointment? It’s very stormy! Information spread rapidly, with numerous phone calls from journalists requesting interviews on the radio. Here you must understand that I come from a very small island and not everyone leaves there, even works abroad.

Am I under pressure because of politics? No pressure, I work calmly. No one ever said anything like that to me,” said Deogracia.

On August 22, Orenburg sacked head coach Jiri Yaroshik. After six rounds, Orenburg closed the standings by earning two points in the Russian championship. The team drew 1-1 with CSKA Moscow in their last match. On August 29, Orenburg will play with Fakel Voronezh as part of the Russian Cup RPL Road. The starting whistle will sound at 17:15 Moscow time.
