Sabzkar Marzieh, an Iranian judoka who competes in the over 78 kilos, was not allowed to enter the tatami at the International University Sports Festival held in Yekaterinburg because he refused to take off his hijab. It has been reported DEA News referring to the press service of the event.

The International University Sports Festival hosts competitions in 14 sports, including badminton, 3×3 basketball, boxing, volleyball, futsal, judo, swimming, diving, sambo, table tennis, tennis, wrestling, taekwondo, rhythmic gymnastics.

The festival will end on August 31.
