Italian journalist Mikael Braga talked about the impact of the removal of Russian clubs from international tournaments on the level of the championship. His words convey “Euro-Football.Ru”.

“I believe that the overall level of the RPL has now slightly increased after a period of falling due to the exit of foreign players in connection with international events. I’m talking about the overall level of the championship, not specific superstars. It would be good for Russian clubs and the national team for them to return to the international arena as soon as possible. Friendly matches are not the same. A generation is growing up that hasn’t played on the international stage yet,” said Braga.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to exclude the Russian national team and all Russian clubs from participation in all competitions controlled by these organizations in the spring of 2022.

After five rounds of the Russian Premier League (RPL), two clubs are simultaneously in the lead: Ural and Krasnodar. Teams each have 13 points. Next up are Dynamo and Zenit with 10 points each. CSKA and Spartak are one point short.

Former president of RPL responded at a high level about the legionnaire “Zenith”.
