Russian figure skater, Olympic champion Alina Zagitova can pay a fine if she is found to have violated traffic rules. Lawyer Sergei Radko explained to socialbites.ca that deprivation of rights is possible in a particular situation.

“If there is a violation, passing through a truly prohibitive traffic light, then a fine of 1,000 rubles is imposed. If this is a repeated violation within a year, this is either a fine of 5 thousand rubles or a deprivation of the right to drive. But for a specific violation, you need to see data from all cameras in the location of a possible violation for proper classification.”

Zagitova took a video of her driving in a black Mercedes-Benz SUV and shared it on social media. Users noticed a green traffic light for pedestrians as soon as Zagitova’s car passed the “zebra”.

Alina Zagitova became the champion of the 2018 Olympic Games. In addition to the gold of the Games, the athlete took the gold of the World Cup – 2019, the gold and silver of the European Championship in 2018 and 2019.

The skater missed the 2020 and 2021 competitions, but hasn’t announced his retirement since. In February last year, Zagitova participated as the captain of the Channel One Cup team tournament, which the Red Machine team won.

Formerly coach Tarasova prisoner Zagitov for using the phone while driving and running a red light.
