Spain world champion. A historic success after years of struggle. A victory for those who are starting, for those who are on the road, for those who are to come. But also for the twenty-three players who participated in the tournament.

The scores of the champions in the World Cup total are as follows:

goalkeepers

1. Misa Rodriguez (6.5) – Replaced

After a good performance in the group stage – without conceding two goals and being guilty of four goals conceded for being sold to Japan – Vilda made a substitution under the sticks and never played again.

13. Enith Hall (sc) – Common

The only name out of twenty-three who did not play any minute of the tournament, but shared the success achieved. He returns to Valencia with a master’s degree that will certainly serve him well in the future. All of them hallucinated with him in training.

23. Cata Coll (8.5) – Revelation

Spain’s surprise at the World Cup. He played only 196 minutes this season and after 13 months due to injury, he did not catch his pulse and scored the goal. The quarterfinals were decisive in the ‘semi-final’ and final.

defenses

4. Irene Paredes (8.5) – Leader

They took off his bracelet and despite this, he served as captain on and off the field. The only one playing every minute. He led the defense and left his skin for his team.

5. Ivana Andrés (6.5) – Intermittent

He started out as a starter until he was injured by erratic performances in the group stage. Codina advanced him in his absence and took the position. He saved a clear goal against the Netherlands that could change everything.

14. Laia Codina (8.0) – Adult

After an undefeated season at Barça, he knew this World Cup was the opportunity of his life and he made the most of it. He patiently waited for his moment and won possession from the 16th round. Great game in the final.

20. Rocío Gálvez (4.5) – Punished

The opportunity came to him in Spain’s worst match against Japan. Didn’t take advantage of that and was pointed out. It was very unsuccessful and three of the four goals were photographed. He didn’t play again.

2. Battle Him (8.5) – Tireless

From little to much, the bounce from lap 16 was excellent. Invisible work was key. Very confident and graceful in defense, dagger in attack. One of the underrated greats.

12. Oihane Hernandez (8.0) – Tank

Another one of the surprises. We already knew his quality, but despite his inexperience, he was calm and confident against Switzerland and the Netherlands. He missed the ‘semi-finals’ due to his suspension and played a key role when he made it to the finals.

19. Olga Carmona (8.5) – Hero

It was another of those mentioned after Japan. But he met the semi-finals and the final with great confidence and a desire to show. Two amazing performances and two goals, one per game, to make history.

midfielders

3. Tere Abelleira (9.5) – Amazing

Revelation too. One of Spain’s best at the World Cup after a tough year. He was almost always excellent, taking on the difficult task of replacing Patri Guijarro and more than doing enough to promote himself around the world.

6. Aitana Bonmatí (9.5) – Star

It was supposed to be the World Cup and it did. No one played a key role in his selection like him and he deservedly won the ‘MVP’ award. Hunger to win, competitive mindset and raw talent. You can go looking for tickets to Paris, as the next Ballon d’Or is named after him.

7. Irene Guerrero (6.0) – True

Despite being a key player for Vilda this year, he has barely stood out. It’s hard to be high in the middle of the pitch. It was true when he entered.

10. Jenni Hermoso (8.5) – Historical.

He showed once again why age is just a number and why he is one of the best Spanish footballers in history. His tournament was phenomenal.

11. Alexia Putellas (7.0) – Modest

Coming back from a serious injury as the best on the planet at the World Cup isn’t easy. He blamed the lack of rhythm (normal), but perfectly played a more modest role and left quality details. When he entered, he pressed on his opponents and applauded all the stands.

16. Maria Pérez (sc) – Newcomer

After becoming League champions with Barça B and combining with the first team, he managed to make his World Cup debut against Switzerland. Another will come from this experience with a master’s degree. He has a bright future.

21. Claudia Zornoza (sc) – Successful

He didn’t play the lead role either, just a total of 33 minutes split between matches against Costa Rica and Japan. When he comes in, he has fulfilled and understood his role.

front

8. Mariona Caldentey (8.5) – Available Everywhere

He also played a key role, more or less, from the round of 16, scoring a decisive goal in the quarter-finals. He was tirelessly wherever the team needed him.

9. Esther González (7.5) – Hint

He changed ownership and substitutions, always accepting his role. He played a key role in several games to fix the centre-backs and pave the way for the wingers expected from ‘9. Good version of Andalusia.

15. Eva Navarro (7.0) – Disgusting

He played a few minutes but missed almost all the matches (only the first and last one). He entered the second half ahead of Athenea, bringing freshness and exuberance to the group.

17. Alba Redondo (8.0) – Outstanding

He started the World Cup as a backup and started in the final stage. Beyond three goals that could have been more, he showed a great connection with Aitana and Ona Batlle on the wing.

18. Salma Paralluelo (9.0) – Genius

He is the best young player of the tournament according to FIFA. He is only nineteen and under 17, under 20 world champion and now with absolute. His goals in the quarterfinals and “semi-finals” were key to the championship.

22. Athenea del Castillo (6.5) – Forgotten

More to less to stand out. He made his debut against Costa Rica, was injured against Zambia and played for 7 minutes against Switzerland. Nothing else. He always, yes, brought that unmatched electricity and joy.

Jorge Vilda (6.5) – Empowered

The match against Switzerland changed everything. A fiasco ensued and the team was able to reverse it and have a happy ending. He failed in some decisions but was right in others, important matches. The ‘feeling’ about the group is a pending issue.
