Ukrainian athlete Marina Moroz lost to Brazilian Karina Silva in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament in a duel with the number 292.
The fight took place as part of the front card of the tournament. The qualifying fight ended with Frost surrendering after a choking grip in the first round. The referee stopped the fight one second before the time-out.
Moroz is the champion of Ukraine and the World Cup in kickboxing, the champion of Ukraine in junior boxing, the championship in boxing among students and a finalist of the Ukrainian Cup. In mixed martial arts, Moroz made his debut in a victorious duel against compatriot Yana Kuzema at OC – Oplot Challenge 89 on November 23, 2013.
UFC 292 takes place in Boston, United States. The main event of the evening is a match where American Aljamain Sterling will face compatriot Sean O’Malley to defend the promotion’s bantamweight title for the fourth time.
Russian fighter Denis Tyulyulin, who will take the octagon field as part of the tournament front card, will meet with Brazilian representative Gregory Rodriguez. The match will be played in the middleweight division.
