The champions of the UEFA Champions League and Europa League will be measured to determine the final title of the 2022-23 season.
The 2022-23 European football season saw two major champions in continental competitions: Manchester City, who won the UEFA Europa League for the first time, while Sevilla won the Europa League again, their fifth in a decade. For that reason, they face each other in another edition of the European Super Cup that ends said campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s team managed to capture the long-awaited Orejona on June 10, when they beat Inter 1-0 at the Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, with Rodrigo’s goal. For its part, the Andalusian team settled after a 1-1 draw against Roma in 120 minutes and then triumphed on penalties. Said game was played on May 31 in Budapest.
