There are expressions which, after being repeated so many times, seem to be absolute and indisputable truths. “Results determine football”, confirm the coaches and recite the players by heart in each interview. “Results are decisive in football,” the journalists explain to simply justify any kind of decision or behavior. “Determining results in football” are the words of the fans to understand an action and quickly turn the page.

Why are they sending? Well, the reason is not very well known if we open the scope of a deeper debate. Maybe there’s a mystical power we can’t perceive or they’re bossy by nature. Are the results like those ruthless bosses who only evaluate numbers? It’s a possibility we shouldn’t rule out. Do they ship so they don’t have to think? Maybe, nobody likes to get stuck in a world of fears.

In that “command”, for now, there is a simplification of hours, days, months or years of work. That “command” erases all the colors, leaving only white and black. If he succeeds, the protagonist is elevated; if it falls, the protagonist has sunk and the value of the character who was outside without participating increases. The process (almost) never matters.

What is discussed in such a case? What’s in between? If the results in football determine, there should be no journalistic analysis. Would hundreds or thousands of journalists lose their jobs? Why organize a meeting or write in the newspaper if the conclusion is always the same: if you win, it’s good; if he loses, it’s bad.
