During the Russian Cup match with Voronezh Fakel, CSKA Moscow fans honored the memory of the late former goalkeeper of the club, Veniamin Mandrykin, by unfurling a banner in his honor. This was reported by the correspondent “socialbites.ca”.

Mandrykin died on August 6 at the age of 42. He played for CSKA from 2002 to 2005 and also in 2007. Meanwhile, the team won three championships and the Russian Super Cup, four times the Country Cup. He has two matches for the Russian national team. He won the UEFA Cup in 2005 as part of CSKA. In 2003 he played for the Russian national team in a friendly match against Cyprus (1:0) and took part in the Euro 2004 qualifying match against Georgia (0:1).
In 2000, Mandrykin entered the list of the 33 best players of the Russian championship.
Mandrykin also played for Tom, Rostov and Dynamo Bryansk. Mandrykin began his career in 1997 in Vladikavkaz “Alania”.
