“We decided to refuse to participate in the Russian Cup because we do not have the resources at the moment. Now we have a problem with composition. Previously, Rubin from Yalta had refused to participate in the tournament.
In the new season, Sevastopol and Rubin from Yalta will meet in the First League. In addition, Khimki and Torpedo, who left the Russian Premier League (RPL), will also join this division.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided last spring to exclude all Russian clubs, as well as the Russian national team, from all competitions controlled by these organisations.
