Former head coach of the Russian national team Igor Korneev, St. Petersburg believes Zenith should let midfielder Malcolm leave Saudi Arabia for the club. Words lead the way “Sport Express”.
“If the Arab side approves, I think Malcolm should definitely be let go for such money! No one knows if Malcolm wants to consider this option. But the Brazilian is unlikely to have any other option to earn many times over his current contract! said Korneev.
On July 10, football manager Timur Gurtskaya announced that he was interested in Malcolm from Saudi Arabia. Portal Transfermarkt estimates the Brazilian player’s worth at €30 million.
Malcom moved from Barcelona to Zenit in 2019. During his time in Russia, he became the champion of the country four times, winning the Russian Cup once and the Super Cup three times. His contract with Zenit runs until the summer of 2027.
Malcom made 27 appearances, scored 23 goals and provided 7 assists in the final season of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
