The qualifying rounds of the European Under-19 Championship, which takes place in Malta, will start on Thursday, July 13, 2023 with two games.
The first of these is between Portugal and Norway, with both teams aiming for a place in the grand final of the European Under-19 Championship on Sunday 16 July.

Malta 2023 European Guide Under 19
The Portuguese were unmanageable in the first phase of the championship. They count their matches by wins and against Italy, who they beat 5-1, they produced a sensational game. They had previously beaten Poland 2-0 and with several rotations they ended the first stage by beating Malta 2-1.

Norway has also had a good first phase. They started by beating Greece 5-4, in a strange match where they eventually won 5-0 and later drew twice, one against Iceland and zero against Spain.
