Former Spartak Moscow coach Massimo Carrera said his long hiatus from working activities was linked to a personal issue, while also answering the question of whether he is ready to lead the club from the Russian Premier League (RPL) again. The words of an expert lead “RB Sports”.

The last job for Carrera was Italian club Bari, which played in Serie B. Specialist was appointed head coach of the team on 9 February 2021 and left the club on 19 April that year.

Carrera worked at Spartak from 2016 to 2018 – first as an assistant to Dmitry Alenichev, and later as a head coach, replacing him.

Carrera is the first foreign specialist in the history of the club, who managed to win the gold medal of the Russian championship in his first season.

In 2017, the Italian led Spartak to the championship title and victory in the Super Bowl. In 2018, the Capital club, led by the Italian expert, took third place in the ranking.
