Former Barcelona and Spain football player Luis Suarez Miramontes has died at the age of 88. This was reported on Twitter by the press service of the Spanish championship.

Suarez has played for Barcelona, Inter, Sampdoria, Deportivo and Espanya Industrial. He won the Golden Ball in 1960. He won Euro 1964 as part of the Spanish national team and won the European Cup twice with Inter. He is the first Spanish player to play for an Italian club. Suarez also worked as a coach. His last place of work as a mentor was Inter Milan. He presided over this club in 1995.
