Manchester City could have gotten £30m, bypassing the financial rules of the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA). It has been reported Times.

According to the publication, the creators of the YouTube movie describing City’s financial irregularities have gained access to the UEFA 2020 report on the English club’s financial activities.

According to the report, the club received two payments of £15m from an unidentified person in Abu Dhabi. This happened in 2012 and 2013.

Transfers were processed as sponsorship payments from UAE-owned telecommunications company Etisalat. But UEFA concluded that in reality this was “hidden funding” from the owners of Abu Dhabi “citizens”, a violation of the rules of association.

The case is believed to be one of 115 fiscal rule violations since the 2009/10 season, when the English Premier League (EPL) blamed Manchester City in February.

In the 2022/23 season, Manchester City released the so-called treble – the wards of Josep Guardiola won three trophies at once. They won the Premier League, they won the FA Cup and they also won the Champions League football.

Formerly former Man City captain affected to Barcelona.
