Oman shows interest in buying technology from Russia

Vladimir Dergachev, Executive Director of the Russian-Omani Business Council of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), said that Oman is interested in purchasing Russian technologies and Russian telemetry equipment in the oil industry. It has been reported DEA News.

According to Dergachev, in addition to the equipment used in the analysis of the state of the wells, there is an interest in “new Russian developments and technologies that may be in demand in the oil fields of the sultanate.”

He said discussions within the council showed that Oman is seeking cheaper services, introducing new technologies in oil fields and using new chemical components in drilling and well development.
