Agent Alexei Dementiev shared his opinion on the absence of Russian players in the first symbolic team of the National Hockey League (NHL) last season. Transmits words RT.

“Honestly, I wouldn’t look for any political implication in choosing the NHL’s first emblematic team. It is clear that this has probably been taken into account as well. This was noticed when the results of the Hall of Fame were announced, even when there was not a single Russian there, ”Dementiev said.

Recall that the NHL press service published two symbolic teams. The second team included Russian New York Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin and New York Rangers forward Artemy Panarin.

Jason Robertson (Dallas), Connor McDavid (Edmonton), David Pastrnak (Boston), Erik Karlsson (San Jose), Adam Fox (Rangers), and Linus Ullmark (“Boston”).

Formerly two-time Olympic hockey champion Alexander Kozhevnikov shared his opinion that not a single Russian player made the first symbolic team of last NHL season.
