Two Russian hockey players named among the 20 best draft picks in NHL history

Russian hockey players Pavel Datsyuk and Sergey Fedorov are in the top 20 among the best draft picks in National Hockey League (NHL) history. official site leagues.

Datsyuk took 13th place in the rating compiled by the authors and editors of the NHL website. He was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the sixth round in 1998.

Fedorov is in the list on line 19. Detroit selected him in the fourth round of the 1989 draft.

Detroit’s 1989 selection of Swedish Niklas Lidström was voted the best choice in the audition.

Recall that the top 50 best options include five more Russian hockey players. Alexander Ovechkin took 21st place, Pavel Bure – 27th, Alexander Mogilny – 31st, Sergey Zubov – 43rd and Andrey Vasilevsky – 46th.

Ross Mahone, former Washington Capitals executive vice president responsible for preparing the team, said: spoke Russian striker Matvey Michkov’s St. Petersburg SKA and that he cannot start playing in the overseas league quickly.
