Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund on the transfer of midfielder Jude Bellingham, The Athletic correspondent David Ornstein reported on the social network.
The Spanish club will pay more than 100 million euros for the 19-year-old English player. The contract will be officially announced in the coming days, after the player passes the health check.
The media wrote that Bellingham said goodbye to his Borussia teammates before the team left for the summer break.
The Dortmund club management offered to extend the player’s current contract until 2026 with an annual salary of 14 million euros. However, Bellingham was not satisfied with this offer, especially as he will receive around €20 million per season at Real Madrid and his contract with the Madrid club will be six years.
At the same time, Real Madrid will not pay more than 120 million euros for the transfer of a football player, while Borussia plans to earn at least 150 million euros.
Former Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior recognized Real Madrid’s best player last season. In 55 games in all competitions, the South American scored 23 goals and provided 18 assists.
