Three Russian hockey players entered the rating of the most profitable contracts in the NHL season

Three Russian hockey players were included in the list: Pavel Buchnevich (St. Louis Blues – $ 5.8 million), Alexander Barabanov (San Jose Sharks – $ 2.5 million) and Andrey Kuzmenko (Vancouver Canucks – $ 950 thousand).

Barabanov, 28, played 68 games this season and scored 47 (15+32). Buchnevich, 28, scored a total of 67 points in 63 games with 26 goals and 41 assists. 27-year-old Kuzmenko scored 74 (39+35) points in 81 games.

All three clubs with Russian players did not qualify for the 2023 Stanley Cup.

Former Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbury saidplans to use the team’s striker Alexander Ovechkin.

“My job as a head coach is to put him in situations where he can be successful. This is my challenge and I don’t take it lightly. “Of course that will affect how we play,” Carbury said.
