Four-time champion of Russia in Spartak Andrey Konovalov spoke about the fact that in the Netherlands the red-and-white striker Quincy Promes was accused of drug trafficking. Transmits words “Match TV”.

“It’s an incomprehensible situation around Promes. If you think about it logically, Quincy is not a poor person and it is unreasonable to go into such matters. We don’t know how things really are, but I don’t believe that’s really the case. I think Spartak also depends on this position, ”said Konovalov.

Quincy Promes has scored 25 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions for Spartak this season.

On May 30, the Dutch prosecutor’s office accused the football player of involvement in drug trafficking. It has been reported that we are talking about two shipments of cocaine seized in Antwerp in 2020. In one it is 720 kg, in the other – 650 kg.

In another criminal case, Promes is accused of stabbing his cousin in the summer of 2020. According to media reports, the hearing of both cases will be held in Amsterdam on 5 June.
