In the history of Mexican football, 24 different teams have been champions of the tournament.
Atlas was the last champion of the MX competition with the recent title of the Clausura 2022. The Rojinegros added their third star to the shield and although they have not yet managed to enter most of the competition winners, the joy will not be taken away from a hobby that has long been has been waiting for this to happen.
The ‘Friends of the Ball’ held the last from the previous Clausura tournament, but in Apertura 2022 there will be a new champion because Diego Cocca’s men were eliminated in an irregular tournament.

Since his professional days, which started in the campaign 1943-44, In Liga MX, just over twenty teams have been crowned champions of the league tournament. To enter the group with more winners, they must have more than three stars; Atlas has two.
Among those left out are clubs that compete in lower divisions such as Atlante, Zacatepec (the iron colts in the MX Expansion Competition ), Gold And Teaks from the UAG (these last two in the Premier League, i.e. Third Division). There were also champions that currently no longer exist as Real Spain, Asturias, Mars and Tampico (preceding the Tampico-Madero).
