Nikolai Larin, former director of the Chertanovo Academy, was released from prison. It has been reported “Euro-Football.Ru”.
The Moscow City Court accepted the appeal of Larin’s defense. The sentence was reduced to 2 years and 6 months – postponed.
Recall that at the end of September 2022, the officer was sentenced to three years in prison for fraud. The court later decided that the damage caused by Larin’s actions exceeded 36 million rubles. He overestimated the number of players in the Chertanovo academy in order to get more funding.
At the trial, Larin stated that he had no selfish purpose, spending the money on boarding sports school, equipment and arranging trips for athletes abroad.
The officer headed the Chertanovo Academy in 2008-2021.
