Russian goalkeeper Toronto Maple Leafs Ilya Samsonov became the second goalkeeper in Canadian team history with a penalty kick in the playoffs.

Samsonov fends off Brandon Hagel’s free throw against Tampa Bay Lightning in the eighth minute of game 4 of the Stanley Cup series, repeating Patrick Poulain’s historic feat of 1995.

In total, Samsonov saved 27 shots for the game.

Behind the match 1-4, Toronto won in extra time (5-4) and took a 3-1 lead in the series.

Russian forward Nikita Kucherov provided two assists in the final match, and defender Mikhail Sergachev recorded an abandoned puck and an effective pass. In addition, Alex Killorn (twice) and Steven Stamkos scored between the hosts of the site.
