KHL vice-president Kamensky says a club from Kazakhstan wants to join the league

Valery Kamensky, Vice President of Development of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), said that he wanted to join the club from Kazakhstan to become a member of the league. Transmits words Metaratings.ru.

“Are there any countries the KHL is currently looking at for expansion? Under these circumstances, we think about Russia first, but we do not forget our neighbors from Belarus and Kazakhstan. A team from Kazakhstan expresses his desire to enter the KHL,” said Kamensky.

Former KHL Board of Directors open To the list of participants of the 2023/24 season of the hockey club “Lada” from Togliatti. Thus, 23 teams will take part in the next KHL season.

The playoff finalists for the 2022/23 season in the KHL were announced the previous day. They became the winners of the Western and Eastern conferences, respectively – CSKA Moscow and Ak Bars Kazan. CSKA is the current holder of the Gagarin Cup.
