Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov reached the third round of the Masters series tournament in Monte Carlo (Monaco).

In the second round, Russia’s third racket defeated Belarusian Ilya Ivashko, who qualified for the main draw, 7:6 (7:2), 6:2.

The match between Russian and Belarusian tennis players lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Khachanov will play his compatriot Andrei Rublev, who is ranked sixth in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings in the third round.

On April 11, Rublev won a strong-willed victory over Spain’s representative, Jaume Munar. The match ended with the sixth racket win with the scores of 4:6, 6:2, 6:2.
