Former striker of Lokomotiv, Spartak and the Russian national team Dmitry Sychev commented on the interest of European clubs in Dynamo striker Konstantin Tyukavin. He noted that very few Russians are playing in senior championships at the moment, but at the same time, young Russian football players need to go abroad prepared.
“If you rewind a bit, we had six or eight legionnaires in the top championships. Now, of course, there are players in Israel and Slovenia, but we are talking about the best championships, where there are only two people – Alexey Miranchuk and Alexander Golovin. Of course, I’d like more guys to leave, but you need to leave ready – when you can compete, when you already fully understand what’s going to happen there and what the requirements are. Because very often when a young player comes to a foreign championship, he thinks that it will be the same as in Russia. And in Russia they treat young football players very kindly, protect them like chicks, value them because they are our future.
It’s a different life abroad. You should be head and shoulders above the local football player and the requirements for you are maximum. If you are on the same level as the locals, they put their players. We must be ready for this. Plus, the public is initially somewhat skeptical of legionnaires, so you need to perform 200 percent in every practice and every game to earn the trust of the fans. And this is very difficult, especially when isolated from relatives and the usual way of life, where there is comfort, where the mother tongue is, familiar to everyone around. It’s a great experience and a tough road,” Sychev told socialbites.ca.
Recall that in the current draw of the Russian Premier League, Tyukavin played 20 games for Dynamo, in which he scored eight goals and made three assists. According to Konstantin, he knows about the interest of many European clubs, especially Bruges, Belgium.
formerly Sychev He insisted Dynamo forward Arsen Zakharyan will work on himself to reach the previous level.
