However, no official denial has yet come from the university’s press service.

For admission to RANEPA, Zagitova passed the exam in the Russian language and social sciences. She scored 51 for the first course and -44 for the second. This score is the minimum required for admission to this university. Zagitova took part in the paid section, and her results were published on the official website of the educational institution. In the list of those registered under the contract, the skater took 113th place out of 115.

Renat Laishev, director of Sambo-70, stated that in 2020 Zagitova should have no problems studying at RANEPA.

But the three-time Olympic champion, State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina, made a harsh comment about Zagitova’s work at RANEPA.

The figure skater also visited the Beijing Olympics, which took place in February 2022, but practically in the profile of the university, and not as an athlete: together with the Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnast Margarita Mamun, she tried herself as a reporter.
