Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin became the fifth Russian to score over 70 points in the 2022/23 regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Ovechkin assisted in the Chicago game. In total he has 70 (40+30) points in the current draw of the regular season.

Nikita Kucherov, Kirill Kaprizov, Artemy Panarin and Evgeni Malkin have already reached 70.
