Jamaican-born British fighter Leon Edwards defeated Nigerian-born USA representative Kamaru Usman at number 286 in the main match of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament.
For Edwards, this was his first championship defense: he is the heavyweight champion of promotion. The fight lasted all five rounds declared by the rules and ended with a decision of the referees in favor of Edwards – 48-46, 48-46, 47-47.
For the British athlete, this victory took the 21st place at the professional level, he also suffered three losses, one of which was considered an unsuccessful fight.
Usman played in 24 games in his career and had three losses in that fight, including a loss to Edwards.
