Milan’s Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, broke the Italian championship record. The striker became the oldest striker in Serie A history.
Ibrahimovic scored a goal against Udinese in the 27th week match of the Italian championship. In the extra time of the first half, the striker turned the penalty. He was 41 years old and 166 days old, making him the oldest player to score in Serie A. He surpassed the success of Alessandro Costacurta (41 years and 25 days).
Ibrahimovic’s record goal, however, did not help Milan avoid defeat in the match. The match ended with the score of 3:1 and the Swedish striker’s goal was the only goal for Milan. Thus, the Milan club extended the undefeated series to three games in the Italian championship, the team placed fourth in the standings.
