Figure skating coach Alexander Zhulin talked about the potential of Eteri Tutberidze’s student Daria Usacheva to switch to double skating.

According to him, a full-fledged change in the role of bachelors will take at least two years.

“To talk about his prospects, you have to look at his knees slipping. It doesn’t always happen that a very good skater can become a good dancer. Do you think it’s that easy to go from single skating to dancing? Although both are called figure skating, they are completely different aspects.

For starters, it will take at least a year or two to learn to dance. Finding a good partner is important – it’s not that easy! – quoting Zhulin’s words sports24.

Recall that 16-year-old Usacheva has not competed in official competitions since 2021, after an injury at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Formerly Tatyana Tarasova statedThat Daria Usacheva saw nothing wrong with the transition to double skating.
