Head coach of Moscow “Torpedo” Andrey Talalaev spoke about the unsuccessful transfer of striker Artem Dzyuba.
The 34-year-old striker signed a contract with Lokomotiv Moscow until the end of the 2022/23 season on February 8.
“Dzyuba is an addicted football player. In his last match with Rostov, the ball went 21 times into the penalty area, and Dzyuba scored 3 goals. Well done, I wish it continues in the same way but not in game with Torpedo.
Unfortunately, we are in the last place in the Russian championship when it comes to sending the ball into the opponent’s penalty area. In our match against Krasnodar, we sent the ball only ten times and scored two goals.
First, I did not give up on the possibility of signing Dziuba. He told me he was ready to consider his candidacy if they didn’t bring me the striker I wanted. And there were three strikers on the list that were faster, more coordinated and more voluminous in action, – quotes an expert “Match TV”.
Dzyuba started this season with Turkish club Adana Demirspor, whose contract he terminated a few months later. After returning to his hometown as a free agent, the footballer negotiated for a long time with RPL clubs, which the media referred to as Torpedo and Paris Nizhny Novgorod.
Former commentator Gennady Orlov spoke About Artem Dzyuba’s interview with journalist Nobel Arustamian.
