American hockey player disqualified from three NHL games for spitting in opponent’s face

New York Rangers quarterback K’Andre Miller was suspended three games during the regular season for unsportsmanlike behavior during a game against the Los Angeles Kings. This was reported by the league’s press service.

The match was played on February 26 and ended in favor of Rangers with a score of 5:2. In the first period of the match, the 23-year-old American spat in the face of his opponent, defender Andrew Doughty. As a result of the incident, the Rangers defender was suspended for the match. Miller admitted that he “unintentionally” spat in Doughty’s face after the match.

Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, Miller’s retained $15,000 of salary will be donated to an emergency player relief fund.
