Russian defender Dmitry Orlov has scored his first number for the Boston Bruins since joining the Washington Capitals.

In the National Hockey League’s (NHL) regular season game against the Edmonton Oilers, Orlov assisted Tomasz Nosek in the third minute of the game.

The first period of the meeting is currently ongoing. The score is 2:1 in favor of Boston.

Orlov has been with Capitals since 2011. He won the Stanley Cup as part of the team in 2018. It was reported that the player and the club could not agree on the duration of the new contract.

Washington Capitals reportedly offered Orlov a new three-year contract, in exchange for a six-year contract.

Orlov has appeared in 44 NHL games this season, with three goals and 20 assists.
