Russian Premier League (RPL) President Alexander Alaev shared his views on Lokomotiv Moscow’s striker Artem Dziuba’s first match with Spartak in the quarter-finals of the Russian Cup.

“Dziuba is a great master, he has proven this more than once. Artem will help Lokomotiv. He could change the course of the game, he had two chances. In the first case, Dzyuba was unlucky when the ball hit the post, in the second case he shot over the door because he was tired,” Alaev explains. “Sports Express”.

The free agent striker signed a contract with Lokomotiv Moscow until the end of the season on 8 February. He was without a striker team for several months.

He has been playing for Adana Demirspor club in Turkey since August 2022. On November 3, his contract with the team was terminated. On February 22, Dziuba took part in the first quarter-final match of the Russian Cup between Lokomotiv and Spartak without scoring.
