Voronezh Fakel Sporting Director Kirill Kotov responded to the accusations of the Ukrainian Football Federation that he participated in fixed matches.

“We didn’t even go to Cyprus this year. I don’t want to comment on this bullshit because it’s ridiculous. Some kind of nonsense! ”, – quotes Kotov’s words “Sports Express”.

Today, Francesco Baranka, Chairman of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine Voronezh announces Fakel’s participation in fixed matches. According to him, more and more scammers are moving to Russia from Ukraine. He also filed charges against one of the Torch players, who is suspected of participating in fixed matches in Ukraine. This is defender Igor Kalinin. While playing for Zorya Lugansk in 2015, he was accused of match-fixing along with 11 other players. The players were kicked out of the team, but Kalinin remained. It was he who was suspected of being the organizer. For the first time in Ukrainian football history, he passed the lie detector and dropped inclusion charges.

Recall that Fakel has been playing in the Russian Premier League (RPL) since the 2022/23 season. After 17 laps, Dmitry Pyatibratov’s team is in 13th place in the standings.
