Krasnodar striker John Cordoba answered the question why he did not suspend his contract with the Russian club in the summer of 2022 after it became possible thanks to the rule of the International Football Federation (FIFA).
“Why didn’t you suspend your contract in the summer of 2022? Making the decision to come back wasn’t easy. But the club did everything for it. Everyone was very interested in this issue. I’ve always felt this. That’s why I made such a decision.
There were suggestions. Different clubs go to my managers every transfer period, including from Europe. But as you can see, I’m here. And completely focused on Krasnodar, – quotes Cordoba “Championship”.
Cordoba joined Krasnodar from German Hertha in 2021. The forward has made 12 appearances in the Russian Premier League (RPL) this season, scoring five goals and three assists.
Vladimir Ivic’s wards are in eighth place in the RPL after 25 games.
Krasnodar will continue the season with a game against CSKA in the Russian Cup on February 23.
