The refreshed Virtus is a revised sixth-generation Polo sedan based on the MQB-AO platform for emerging markets.

The former is mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The “senior” engine also has a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch robot.
