Recall that Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with bilateral pneumonia. The athlete developed sepsis, which, against his background, led to amputation of the feet.
In 2006, Kostomarov won the Winter Olympics in Turin with Tatyana Navka in the doubles competition. Together with him, the skater became the world champion twice, won the European Championship three times and in the final of the Grand Prix series.
