General Director of Salavat Yulaev Rinat Bashirov shared information about the Finnish clinic’s refusal to work on a young Russian hockey player, representing the Ufa youth team Tolpar.
“We have been working with Finland for many years. I can say that we are planning an operation for a young actor from Tolpar, but they called us and said that Russian citizens are not served.” leads to Bashirov’s “Championship” lyrics.
He also stressed that such decisions negatively affect relations between Finland and Russia.
“It doesn’t bode well for us. I can’t say if this is a trend for the whole country. At the same time, we’re not breaking relationships with the players,” he said.
Formerly Bashirov declarationLegionnaires have a 1% chance of returning to the team.
The Ufa club left the Canadian forward Jeff Platt, who has Belarusian citizenship (hockey players from this country are not considered legionnaires in the KHL), Danish defender Philip Larsen and Finnish players – goalkeeper Juha Metsola, striker Sakari Manninen, Markus Granlund and Temu Hartikainen.
