The Grand Final would provide a significant cash prize for the finalists of the 2023 edition.
While it is true that since 2022 the teams crowned in the two competitions of the year in Colombia have been given important economic recognition thanks to Conmebol, it is also true that it increases with the incentives they receive in reaching the quotas for international competitions as Copa Libertadores and sponsorship income.
Dimayor confirmed that in the case of Super League, there is an economic prize for the winner and also for the runner-up. The Super League is one of the few tournaments of the board that awards money, this is because this competition no longer gives a place in an international tournament, as in previous years.

In 2020, the winner would pocket 500 million pesos, while the loser would get 250 million pesos. However, Junior and America agreed in advance to split all the money equally regardless of the outcome. In the end, the ‘Sharks’ kept the trophy.
For the 2021 edition, the figure of 375 million for each of the participants was confirmed, after América and Santa Fe also agreed to split the total loot in half.
In 2022, the prizes amounted to 524 million pesos for the winner and 262 million for the runner-up, which would have remained intact after Deportes Tolima defeated Deportivo Cali in the final.
And now, in 2023, there is still no official information on what will be the spoils that Atlético Nacional and Deportivo Pereira, last year’s national champions, can take away, but a significant number is expected from the official sponsor.
